A fire Tuesday morning destroyed multiple RVs at a Panama City Beach RV park.
According to fire officials, six trailers were involved in the fire at Emerald Coast RV Storage at 12401 Panama City Beach Parkway on Tuesday morning. Three of the trailers were destroyed, and three others were damaged.
"It come in as a structure fire behind the towing service, which is just to the north of us, unknown type structure. While en route dispatch got on to the satellite imagery and saw that it was trailer storage. When we arrived on scene we had three fully involved travel trailers with a fourth and a fifth one ignited," said Battalion Chief Jonathan Kibler of Panama City Beach Fire Rescue.
Walt Rossi works at the RV storage facility. He was on-site earlier in the morning.
"We came in here at 7:30 this morning, everything was okay. Then we are on our way back when we noticed the fire," said Rossi.
The State Fire Marshal is still investigating what caused the blaze.
