Rescue Mission serves meals and hope at Christmas Eve banquet

The Panama City Rescue Mission made sure no one in the community went hungry this Christmas Eve.

Volunteers served plates full of food for anyone who showed up at their annual Christmas eve banquet today... All surrounded by music and laughter.

The Rescue Mission also gave away toys so kids could have a brighter Christmas.

Sandy Illevski, a volunteer, comes down from Canada to vacation in Panama City Beach every year but makes sure to make time during the holiday to help those in need

"I feel that god's blessed our family and we've had good jobs and we're able to come here on vacation and I'd like everybody to experience what I feel with my kids on Christmas morning."

The Panama City rescue mission focuses on outreach for the homeless and offers free breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.
