A day that was originally full of activities, including a festival, a parade, and fireworks at the Downtown Panama City Marina, the Salute to Freedom would have attracted thousands. But since Phase 2 of reopening Florida due to the coronavirus COVID-19 only allows gatherings up to 50 people, some things had to change.

Instead of one big show, there will be three different fireworks displays at different locations:

Millville- launch from the Waston Bayou at 9:00 p.m.

SweetBay- launch from the old airport runway at 9:15 p.m.

Downtown Panama City- launch from the Panama City Marina at 9:30 p.m.

Organizers say that there is no official viewing area and request that the public not attempt to view the displays within 500 feet of their launch sites.
