LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - After her home sustained extensive damage during Hurricane Michael from downed trees, water, and even squirrels, 90-year-old Juanita Johnson was able to step foot in her fully rebuilt home for the first time Friday.

The rebuild was done by Samaritan's Purse, a faith-based organization headquartered in Boone, North Carolina that has pledged to restore the homes of 79 families in the area through rebuilding, repairing, and replacing.

The group plans to rebuild 18 homes, repair 31, and replace 30 manufactured homes.

And for Ms. Johnson's daughter Gina Nobles, the work Samaritan's Purse is doing is helping to keep spirits high throughout the community.

"God is very good, and I don't know how to say thank you enough to Samaritan's Purse," Nobles said. "I mean, their kindness and their heart to care, it gives you a lot of hope."
