UPDATE: Randy "Bo" Holley taken into custody after Thursday explosion

UPDATE 12/15/2017:

According to the Bay County Sheriff's Office, Randy "Bo" Holley has been taken into custody.

They said he was taken into custody Friday afternoon at County Road 388 and Highway 79 in Panama City Beach

Law enforcement was searching for Holley since Thursday, after they say he set off a destructive device at his home on Vinson Road in Panama City Beach.

BCSO said Holley fled on foot, setting off the manhunt. They said when he was spotted Friday afternoon, Holley ran away again but was quickly taken into custody without further incident.


The Bay County Sheriff's Office is searching for a Panama City Beach man after an explosion Thursday morning.

The sheriff's office has issued an alert concerning Randy "Bo" Holley, 42, of Vinson Road.

Deputies say they responded to the home on Vinson Road, off Highway 79, after the a destructive device detonated. Holley's neighbors told deputies after the explosion they smelled a strong gas-like odor.

The homes around Holley's house have been cleared, deputies say, and no one appears to have been injured from the gas odor after the explosion.

Authorities tell us they do not believe there is any danger to any surrounding areas due to this explosion.

Deputies are preparing a search warrant to search Holley's home. They tell us they've been told the home may be "booby-trapped" with destructive devices. The Bay County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad is on scene.

Holley ran from his home and is believed to be in the area of Steelfield Road and Highway 79. Law enforcement says Holley may be armed and should be considered dangerous.
