Search continues for Crestview man wanted in connection with murder investigation

CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Officials say they were tipped off on Tuesday that wanted man Tony Byrd, 22, was at a trailer off Old Bethel Road. Deputies tried multiple times to make contact with Byrd but found the trailer to be empty.

Deputies say Byrd is wanted on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine and is also a person of interest in a July 8 Crestview Police Department murder investigation.

Deputies say Byrd is considered armed and dangerous. He has a large NFL tattoo on his neck.
