Second annual Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival wraps up

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The second annual Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival rolled into Aaron Bessant Park in Pier Park on Saturday to stay through the weekend and with 28 food trucks, there was something for just about everyone.

Beverly Head, an attendee said, "We've eaten at a lot of these places down here because we try something new all the time. Some were familiar to me and some not."

Last year the festival only lasted one day so this year organizers extended it to give everyone a chance to sample everything.

Danielle Dovalina of the Dovalina's Wood Fired Pizza food truck said, "I am so happy they decided to do two days this year, and I can't believe it's still a little late in the afternoon there's still so many people here!"

Hundreds of locals, visitors, and their pets came out for the two day event and some say it's a great way to spend a weekend outdoors.

Head added, "We try to come to everything Pier Park, they have a lot of great events down here. Any reason to get out of the house in February is good."

While some came for the food and others came for the beer from local and national breweries, the festival served as a great opportunity to learn more about the food truck industry.

Dovalina explained, "It's so great for people that are interested in the industry, they can come and take a look at all the different trucks that are out there, get some ideas."
