Second annual Walk to Remember held to remember loved ones lost

LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The second annual Walk to Remember was held Saturday at Porter Park in Lynn Haven.

The Compassionate Friends is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families through the loss of a loved one. The Bay County chapter was started four years ago.

Bay County chapter leader Carol Ladouceur says the best part of the walk is everyone being together and knowing they're not alone.

"The worst fear a parent could ever have, or a grandparent or a sibling, is a loss of that loved one, after they've died, the next fear is that the world will forget about them, and so we walk to remember them...we will never forget but others might and so we walk to make sure nobody ever forgets about them," said Ladouceur.

The chapter meets at Forest Park United Methodist Church on the 2nd Monday of every month for anyone who is interested in joining.
