Seven residents displaced after structure fire in Panama City
Seven people are without a home after a house fire in Panama City Monday night.
The Panama City Fire Department says they responded to a call at a single family home on West 11th Street at about 8:00 p.m.. When crews arrived, the house was about 50 percent engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze without any threats to other structures. However, the home did sustain major damage.
An investigation determined that the cause of the fire was a cooking accident. No injuries were reported.
The structure housed seven adults, and the Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced residents.
