Severe Weather Threat Saturday

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A line of storms will bring a threat for severe weather to our area Saturday.

We are under an enhanced risk for severe weather Saturday. (WJHG/WECP)

The timing of the storms is between 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. CT in our area.

The SPC has placed our area under an enhanced risk for severe weather, the main threats will be damaging wind gusts and tornadoes.

Also, during the day Saturday the winds will be very gusty in front of the squall line. Expect to see winds sustained at 20-30 mph w/gusts to 40mph. The winds will die down Saturday night.

There is also a High Surf Advisory Saturday. There are Double Red flags flying (meaning water is closed) and some minor coastal flooding will be possible.
