Friday morning, Governor Ron DeSantis announced Florida state parks will begin reopening.

Following the Governor's announcement, the Department of Environmental Protection released details of what phase one of reopening state parks will look like. Starting Monday, about 80 parks will reopen, some in limited capacity.

According to the Governor's office, "The selected reopened state parks will have limited facilities. Reopened beach areas allow visitors access to active recreation only. This includes walking, jogging, swimming and fishing. No sunbathing, chairs, canopies or coolers are allowed in beach areas at this time."

Parks that are open will have their normal hours of operation (8 a.m. until sunset).
