Some students to test through the end of the month

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Testing season is well underway, but some local students will be testing through the end of the month.

Bay District Schools elementary students will end next Tuesday, but middle and high school students will continue through May.

This is for Florida Standards Assessment and End-of-Course exams.

May also marks the beginning of testing including International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement.

You can check your child's school social media accounts or Bay District Schools' website for FSA testing information.

"Or call your school, because while the state sets the window for testing, schools schedule independently to meet their own needs," Camilla Hudson, Coordinator of Assessment and Accountability of Bay District Schools, said.

FSA testing dates are determined at the state and local level, but AP, AICE, and IB go beyond the state level.

As always, school leaders encourage students to eat a good breakfast and to get a full night's rest during testing season.
