Sunday morning volunteers with the Sonder Project gathered at Daffin Park in Panama City to help give back to the Millville and Springfield communities.
Kim Catellier with the Sonder Project said, "We've reached out to our families that we've supported and asked them if they'd like some help for this Christmas and they sent us their wish list. We've had volunteers fulfill their wish list, we've wrapped all their presents, and we're secretly delivering those presents today so they can give it to their family on Christmas morning."
Tish Ogden is part of one of the families receiving gifts and says the sonder project is helping keep the Christmas spirit alive in her community saying, "Being able to see the smiles and see that it's actually going to help someone has been amazing, it really has, it's been truly amazing."
In addition to giving gifts to families, they also collected 1000 stockings to give back.
The group decorated and loaded up trailers to help spread some holiday cheer and give the stockings out.
Catellier added, "With the holiday coming up, we wanted to still be able to have a Christmas for them and provide for their family and hopefully bring some happiness and cheer on Christmas morning."
