Southern Lights: The Search for a Star offers $10,000 grand prize to local talent
Can you sing, play an instrument, dance, make people laugh, or have some sort of talent you'd like to share? A local competition wants to hear from you. Some guests joined us in our studio with more.
Southern Lights: The Search for a Star is a talent competition started right here in the Panhandle of Florida looking for talented people within a 200-mile radius of Bonifay. The live event is a little over a month away, but they are still accepting video entries through midnight on Saturday, July 20.
To get started, record a 2 to 3-minute video of you showing what makes you a star. Then, simply post it to the competition's Facebook page (provided below). The video must be posted to the page in order to be considered as a contestant.
Once the video is posted to the page, be sure that all of your friends and family go like, comment, and share it. The top 10 most liked videos on their page will automatically be entered into the live contest. Judges will also choose 20 additional contestants that stand out to compete in the live event in Bonifay August 8 through 10.
The first prize winner will win $10,000, second place wins $2,500, and third prize will take home $500.
