Two people charged after interrupting radio systems

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Two people are facing charges after deputies say they interrupted radio systems of several law enforcement agencies without permission.

Bay County Sheriff's officials say Cody Jones, 21, of Southport, was arrested January 4th for multiple counts of disruption of law enforcement network, unauthorized interference of governmental radio frequencies, impersonating an officer, depriving an officer of communications, unlawful use of a two-way communications device, resisting an officer without violence, and violation of probation.

Officials say he impersonated officers to try and get classified information. He also initiated unwarranted emergency situations and put officers in dangerous situations.

They say Jessica Davis, 26, of Callaway, was also arrested in connection with the investigation and charged with accessory after the fact.

Both were taken to the Bay County Jail.
