People and their furry friends came out to Historic St. Andrews for Salty Dog Days Saturday!

WJHG/WECP’S own Olivia Michael was the emcee.

All of the proceeds go toward Spay Bay and Bonnie’s Purpose which aim to help provide affordable spay and neutering for pets in Bay County.

The Historic St. Andrews' Janice Boatright says this event is important, especially after Hurricane Michael, which displaced a lot of pets.

"Going out into the public and helping get spay and neutering done at low and no-cost to the citizens of Bay County is hugely important, so we don't have an overpopulation of unwanted animals," said Boatright.

The event raised more than $9,000.
