Humane Society of Bay County offers holiday photo shoot

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - It's Christmas card season and the Humane Society of Bay County wants to help you get the picture perfect greeting for your holiday.

While celebrating the holidays and supporting a great cause, you and your family can come out with your fur babies for holiday-themed photos with fun props and a festive background.

"It is so much fun because we have Santa hats and reindeer's antlers, so if the animals are friendly enough, they want to have their costumes put on, it's exciting to see the family get together. This weekend is great because everyone is home for Thanksgiving and so they come and they get their whole family portrait done and that's what Christmas cards are made out of," said Brenda Leader, Humane Society Thrift Store Manager.

With a $20 donation, not only do you get all of your photos, but you're also making sure those animals that don't have a forever home get taken care of this season.

"Every year it raises money so we have food for our shelter animals for the holidays, because everyone gets busy with buying holiday gifts for family members, a lot of times our shelter animals get forgotten," Leader said.

If you couldn't make it out to the event today at the Humane Society Thrift and Gift store, it will be holding the event again December 9th.
