The Harbor Pilots of St. Andrews

Bob Hurst with the Bay County Historical Society stopped by with Martha Spiva to tell us about an upcoming event discussing the history of the Harbor Pilots of St. Andrews.

Pilot boat named for Captain William Ernest Spiva moored in local lagoon, circa 1940. Captain William Earnest Spiva was one of the original bar pilots for St. Andrews Bay. His son, Ernest Raymond Spiva was also a harbor pilot. (WJHG/WECP) -
