Back in February, the Red Bar burned down.
Tuesday a groundbreaking ceremony was held ahead of reconstruction.
The owner, Olivier Petit says the blueprints of the original bar will be followed... So the new bar will look the same.
At the ceremony, community members buried the past by laying the ashes from the old building on the ground where the new bar will be built, which the owner says was symbolic of a new beginning.
"My whole life has been here and for me especially this was so much more than a business and I'm still grieving the place and it was a way to put closure and honor the place and from the ashes, the rebirth can occur now," said Petit.
Petit also says they are trying to have the new bar open by Memorial Day 2020.
