Over 3,500 runners participated in the 8th annual 30A 10K race.
People of all ages flocked to Rosemary Beach for three different running events. The 10K was followed by a 1 mile fun run and later a 5K run.
More than $7,000 in prizes were offered for various finishers which included a $1,000 cash prize for the first place man and woman in the 10K category. The mild weather conditions brought out several thousand spectators to root for their favorite runners.
A very excited Race Director Karen Meadws said, "We're excited to make a big donation this year, hopefully exceeding previous years.
To date we've given $350,000 out to local charities. We're hoping to give them a very big check."
The 30A 10K race event is one of the top five ranked Thanksgiving Day races in America.
