Good Thursday morning everyone!
It's a pleasant morning over the Southeast as most of our skies are clear of rain. We have seen quite a bit pass through in the overnight, and some of those showers linger out into the Gulf this morning while our skies remain cloudy. A few of those showers or storms may move onto the Bay and Gulf County coastlines.
Thanks to the rain from yesterday, it's a little more comfortable this morning with many of us in the upper 60s to start. We'll still have another warm and humid day ahead, however, and more showers or thunderstorms will develop this afternoon. Highs today will reach the low 80s again in many spots as the morning cloud cover breaks up some through the midday again today.
Some will get to see a bit more of that sun on the coast than compared to inland where the daytime heating plus the humid day will lead toward more pop up showers or thunderstorms this afternoon. Our stalled front is still across the Wiregrass over the FL/AL state line and that will also help focus more lift in the atmosphere where once again some bigger storms could develop by mid to late afternoon. Heavy rains and some gusty winds may be possible in those storms. Otherwise, skies will gradually quiet down through the evening as some drier air moves briefly through the southeast. That should help to clear out our skies tonight, and could lead toward some fog development by tomorrow morning.
Another front is on the way for Friday and Friday night where rain returns to the forecast, but not looking likely until the mid to late afternoon. Until then we could have a good mix of sun and clouds during the day on Friday with warm temperatures remaining.
Once this front passes through Friday night and into Saturday morning, we'll turn chilly! Highs over the weekend will remain in the 60s, while morning lows will start out in the 50s Saturday and 40s on Sunday morning.
For today, mostly cloudy skies turning partly sunny on the coast throughout the day. Showers and thunderstorms will develop inland in the afternoon. Highs today will reach the low 80s. Your 7 Day Forecast will bring another cold front through late in the day tomorrow and that will bring a big chill in for the weekend and next week.
