Good Thursday morning everyone!
It's another quiet morning on radar with just a few upper level clouds cruising by on satellite. Still plenty of sunshine will greet us out the door today.
Temperatures are still chilly as well! We're largely waking up in the 40s on the coast to upper 30s inland. Maybe only our typically cold spots will have to deal with some light frost this morning. Sunshine will help us warm quickly this morning once again as we'll move into the 50s after 9am and on our way to near 60 degrees by lunchtime. Highs today should have no trouble reaching the upper 60s near 70°.
We'll notice a few more clouds in our skies today as an area of low pressure moves across Texas and spreads a warm front out over the Northern Gulf. Eventually that front will kick up more cloud cover for Friday and a few stray showers into the end of the day tomorrow.
However, this will be a very weak system that hangs around the Northeastern Gulf heading into the weekend as well. With weak lift in the atmosphere associated with the low, we'll expect to see a light on and off type shower into Saturday and Sunday. However, we're not looking at much more than nuisance showers totaling up to around a quarter or half inch of rain.
For today, mostly sunny skies with highs nearing 70 degrees in the afternoon. Your 7 Day Forecast brings in a few more clouds for Friday, but we stay mainly dry in the forecast until the weekend where light on and off rain chances appear.
