Good Thursday morning everyone!
Meteorologist Ryan Michaels showing our daily planner.
It's another quiet start on radar despite some clouds cruising over another foggy start. We'll have a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 9am once again. The fog is particularly thick in spots this morning, and it will likely have an impact on those commuting before 7 or 8am. So go ahead and give yourselves a few minutes extra to get out the door in anticipation of slower travels.
Otherwise, it's fairly mild outside and very muggy as we'll start our day in the upper 60s near 70°. The fog will lift out through the 8 or 9am hour to mostly cloudy skies today with peeks of sunshine possible. That will help warm our temperatures up into the mid 70s on the coast to upper 70s near 80° inland once again.
However, this is the last day of this very warm and spring like weather as a cold front heads our way late in the afternoon. It'll try to stir up a few stray showers moving into the late day commute. So pack an umbrella, just in case you happen to be commuting or outdoors while this front moves in later today. They'll be fairly quick in nature passing from north to south into the evening.
As the cold front moves by, you'll notice your winds shifting to the north tonight and that will usher in a cooler and drier air mass for tonight and tomorrow. Lows tonight dip into the 50s and we won't expect any fog! Skies may remain a bit cloudy heading into our Friday and that will add to the coolness of the day overall. We'll likely want a jacket out the door tomorrow as highs only reach the upper 60s.
Another front heads our way on Saturday bringing a likely round of showers to the end of the afternoon and evening. But more importantly, it will reinforce this a cool down heading into the end of the weekend and into next week. Saturday's highs may still reach the 70s ahead of this second front, however, we're back into the 60s by Sunday and even 50s by early next week.
For today, mostly cloudy skies after another foggy start with a chance for a late afternoon or evening shower. Highs today remain mild in the mid 70s for the coast to upper 70s near 80° inland. Your 7 Day Forecast brings some changes as a cold front moves through this evening and a cooler overall feel into Friday.
