Thursday Forecast

Good Thursday morning everyone!

Meteorologist Ryan Michaels showing the morning showers shifting inland into the afternoon.

It's a quiet start on radar early on this morning. However, around sunrise we are expecting to see some scattered showers developing. They'll be near the coast at first this morning, and then gradually head inland throughout the rest of the morning into the midday.

Otherwise, you may be waking up to a bit of fog. It's patchy and dense in some spots as temperatures are waking up warm and humid mainly near 70°. We'll warm up to seasonal degrees in the mid 80s today, however, that humidity will be quite oppressive especially after the rains we had yesterday. Light southwesterly winds keep us feeling humid through the day today.

The frontal boundary that brought yesterday's rains will lift to the north today as a warm front. As it does so, we'll see our high rain chances go with it. Yet we won't be done completely with the rain chances ahead as we start to transition into a hot and summery pattern.

Temperatures will crank up both on the coast and inland heading into the weekend where highs will push the 90s, mainly away from the beaches. The heat and humidity will help set the stage for our sea breeze front to develop int the afternoons. Without much suppression in the atmosphere, we should manage to see a few inland storms to flare up over the weekend in the afternoons heading right through Memorial Day.

Bottom Line...
For today, mostly cloudy skies turn partly sunny in the afternoon. There's a smaller chance for an early shower on the coast today with a hit or miss storm possible inland by the midday. Highs today reach the mid 80s. Your 7 Day Forecast brings in a bit more of a summery pattern into the weekend with big time heat ahead for the afternoons and low end rain chances mainly away from the coast.
