Pier Park restaurants are open at 50% capacity inside and shops are taking the necessary steps to keep customers safe.
"I got off work Friday morning and I said 'let's go to the beach," said Madison Franks, who came from Tennessee.
Visitors said they were excited to get out of their homes after most businesses closed in March because of the coronavirus.
"My birthday was yesterday and this is my favorite place to come in the summer," said Keveonna Hughley, who visited from Alabama.
Some visitors even said they're not concerned about COVID-19.
Meanwhile others are still trying to social distance.
"We're still taking precautions, keeping our distance from other people," said Hughley.
While folks may not agree on how to handle social distancing, they seem to all agree on one thing, that they needed a vacation after the past couple of months.
