PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A trampoline park is coming to the Pier Park area.

St. Joe Company announced Tuesday it intends to build and operate a Sky Zone Trampoline Park on land it owns next to Pier Park in Panama City Beach.

St. Joe has about 80 acres it plans to develop next to Pier Park behind Walmart on Powell Adams Road.

The proposed Sky Zone will be 25,000 square feet with attractions like SkyNinja Warrior Courses, Zip Lines, Trapeze and Swing, Parkour Blox and interactive obstacles in the Challenge Zone foam pits.

“We believe that Sky Zone is a great fit for Panama City Beach and the family-friendly Pier Park area,” said Patrick Murphy, Senior Vice President of Operations for St. Joe. “The combination of activities and unique programming that is planned for this Sky Zone location will provide an indoor, family-friendly recreation option for both visitors and local residents all year long.”

This will be the first development of the 80 acres behind the Pier Park Walmart. Other proposed developments will be a combination of entertainment and retail tenants, as well as accommodations and hospitality offerings.

Construction is expected to start on Sky Zone in 2020.
