PANHANDLE, Fla. (WJHG) - A guest joined us in studio to tell you where you can get a tree to celebrate Florida's Arbor Day.
Arbor Day for Florida is on January 19th, so the Florida Forest Service is giving away trees all over the Panhandle. Available trees will include flowering dogwood, southern red oak, live oak, red maples, southern magnolia, tulip poplar, persimmon, and river birch. Planting advice and information will also be provided by local foresters.
You can find trees at these locations:
Bay County: Publix on Highway 77 in Lynn Haven
Calhoun County: Ramsey's Cash Saver in Blountstown
Holmes County: Corner of E. Pennsylvania Avenue and N. Waukesha Street in Bonifay
Washington County: Washington County Agriculture Center in Chipley
And then on Saturday, January 27th, Walton County will have trees at the Chautauqua Assembly at Lake DeFuniak.
