Good Tuesday morning everyone!
It's a slightly active morning on radar with training showers passing through Panama City Beach specifically, otherwise very isolated and spotty in other locations. Better rain chances await everyone else for the afternoon and evening.
Otherwise, it's a foggy start, especially along the coast! We may need to give ourselves a few minutes extra out the door to anticipate slow travels around Hwy98 up to Hwy20. The fog doesn't appear to be much of an issue along I-10.
Temperatures are very mild and muggy to start with many still in the 60s. While we wait on the rain to arrive this afternoon we'll still warm up into the 70s this afternoon, highs will be fairly close to yesterday's.
However, instead of those sun peeks we'll have rain moving in from the west after about 1 or 2pm and while it may break at times it will likely stick with us right through the evening. It's a cold front passing through and out ahead of the front today winds will be breezy from the south through much of the day until the front passes late in the afternoon.
Those shifting winds to the west northwest this evening draw in some colder air and you may be able to feel it by the evening. But you'll definitely feel it by tomorrow morning as temperatures tumble down into the 40s tonight into tomorrow morning.
Highs tomorrow struggle to reach the mid 60s in the afternoon with abundant sunshine to help with the chill. Forties in the mornings and mid 60s in the afternoon is actually highly seasonable for us in February.
For today, fog and clouds in the morning with a stray shot at a shower before noon, rain chances go up in the afternoon and into the evening. Highs today still reach the 70s in many locations away from the beaches. Your 7 Day Forecast brings a couple cold seasonal mornings ahead through the midweek with sunshine to help out the cool 60s in the afternoons.
