Good Tuesday morning everyone!
It's a quiet start with clear skies overhead this morning and a lot of sunshine to look forward to today. Be sure to grab the shades before heading out the door this morning.
Some who are heading out around sunrise or before may want a light jacket if susceptible to feeling chilly. Temperatures are in the upper 50s inland to low 60s on the coast. We'll warm up fast through the morning commute, so I don't think you'll need the jackets much past 7 or 8am. Temperatures approach the mid 80s by late morning and we'll be well on our way to highs today pushing the low 90s inland! The coast will even see above average temps in the low to mid 80s today.
The good news is it will be very tolerable heat as humidity remains quite low. Eventually a bit more of a southerly wind takes over through the midweek and we'll see our humidity go back on the rise by late Wednesday. That increase in moisture will also bring a return of some cloud cover to our area. But nothing to threatening through the rest of the work week with respect to rain. A few spotty stray showers may pop up inland Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
However, by Friday and into the upcoming weekend a weak frontal boundary will move into the Southeast and stall out producing some slightly better rain chances. The front should stall to our north across Mississippi and Alabama, and those locations will have a much more likely chance for washout days. But only a few of those storms are expected to drift down into the Panhandle. So at this point we'll keep our rain chances low, and monitor just how far south the front makes it before stalling out.
For today, abundant sunshine with hot highs inland near or just into the low 90s while the coast sees low to mid 80s. Your 7 Day Forecast keeps us quiet for another day and quite warm with only a stray brief shower possible inland through the midweek.
