OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Two people are dead after a crash in Okaloosa County on Sunday night.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, Taylor Willis, 27, was heading north just before 9 p.m. on State Road 189 about a half mile south of Joe Jordan Road when she drifted into the southbound lane.

Troopers say Jeremy Richardson, 30, was in that southbound lane and veered into the northbound lane at the same time to try to avoid a crash, but the two vehicles collided head-on.

Willis was taken to a local hospital where she later died. The passenger, Hannah Miller, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Richardson was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
