Tyndall Air Force Base declares HPCON C

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Tyndall Air Force Base is now at HPCON C due to the coronavirus COVID-19.

The 325th Fighter Wing Commander has directed Health Protection Condition (HPCON) Charlie in response to COVID-19. Officials say HPCONs are health protection measures to best protect the base and surround community.

At this time, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Tyndall Air Force Base.

Officials remind service members to follow strict personal and environmental hygiene, practice social distancing, stay home if sick, and contact your healthcare provider team if experiencing symptoms with COVID-19.

Officials say HPCON C measures are mandatory for Tyndall Air Force Base service members and are highly encouraged for DoD civilian and contractor employees and family members.
