They started their last day with the raising of the flag and singing the National Anthem and a cannon salute from the Warriors' Watch Riders motorcycle club.
Many of the students got awards for extraordinary accomplishments and resilience in their school work after Hurricane Michael. Several fifth-grade students read essays on what their days at Tyndall Elementary meant to them.
After the ceremony, students got to interact with members of the motorcycle club.
Tyndall Elementary Principal Kimberly Kirkman described how the year progressed, "A very difficult year, a different year than normal but to be able to have these ceremonies really brings the whole community of Tyndall together and so it's really a great thing."
Later in the morning, the students celebrated the graduation of the fifth graders as they go on to their new schools.
