UPDATE: Okaloosa Island shooting victim identified as Uber driver

OKALOOSA ISLAND, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - UPDATE: Okaloosa County Sheriff's officials identified the victim in a shooting death investigation Sunday.

They said Filip Kirilov, 29, was believed to be a Destin resident. He was found dead with a gunshot wound in his blue van Sunday morning.

Officials also said he was an Uber driver.

Investigators said a motive is unclear, but they believe he was shot some time between four and six o'clock in the morning.

Original story: Okaloosa County Sheriff's officials are investigating a shooting death on Okaloosa Island after a body was discovered Sunday morning around 6:30.

Officials said the body was found inside a vehicle in the area of Santa Rosa Boulevard and Nautilus Court, at 656 Santa Rosa Boulevard.

They said additional details will be released as warranted.
