Ukulele Orchestra donates ukuleles to Library

Locals with a library card can now strum a long to a new beat.

The Ukulele Orchestra of St. Andrews donated five new ukuleles to the Bay County Public Library Saturday.

The library already had five ukuleles available for check-out, but the organization decided to donate more based on high demand.

The group's goal is to put a ukulele in the hands of every fourth and fifth grade student in Bay County.

So far, the organization has succeeded at three elementary schools : Oakland Terrace, Callaway and Waller Elementary Schools.

On May 18, the orchestra will also donate Ukuleles to Cedar Grove Elementary and Girls, Inc.
