United Way Emerald Coast has just donated $70,000 to 15 local nonprofits to help them with COVID-19 relief.
This is its third phase of funds donated to organizations in Walton and Okaloosa counties.
Since they began giving relief, they've donated more than $140,000.
United Way CEO Kelly Jasen said now more than ever, nonprofits need help, so they can give back to the community.
"There are a lot of nonprofits that are counting on summer and fall fundraisers to help with their operating expenses, and a lot of those were canceled due to COVID-19," said Jasen.
Each non-profit submitted a grant application to be considered for the relief funds.
