Vacation short-term rentals are able to open their doors to renters immediately, according to Florida lawmakers.

Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Bay, Gulf and Franklin Counties are now allowed to reopen vacation short-term rentals after Governor Ron DeSantis approved each county's rental safety plans.

Last week counties were told to submit their plans on safely reopen vacation rentals. The rentals are opening just in time for one of the area's biggest tourism weekends, Memorial Day Weekend.

To see the plan laid out by Bay County, look at the attached document section of this article.
