UPDATE: Escaped teenagers caught in Santa Rosa County

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - UPDATE 6:40 a.m. 3/2/20:

The Walton County Sheriff's Office says all three escaped teenagers were taken into custody in Santa Rosa County. No other details have been provided at this time.

UPDATE 7:49 p.m. 3/1/20:

Officials say Walton County Correctional K9's tracked the boys' movement to a home on Huckaba Road East.

Deputies say when they spoke with the homeowner he said his truck was stolen with a handgun inside.

Sheriff's officials say they believe the three teens stole the truck and left the area.

The truck is a 2006 tan Dodge Ram with a Florida tag reading: HLP1Q.

The Walton County Sheriff's Office is looking for three teenagers who reportedly escaped from a Department of Juvenile Justice facility in DeFuniak Springs.

They say Dalarian Macks, 14, is a white male standing 5’6, weighing 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Deputies say, Santonio Allen, 15, is a black male, standing 5’11, weighing 156 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Officials say Franklin Benegas, 16, is a Hispanic male standing 5’10, weighing 144 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The Sheriff's office says to not approach if the three are spotted and to call the Sheriff's office at 850-892-8111.
