BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG) - Walk to Remember is a national event dedicated to babies who die each year through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or newborn death. A guest joined us in our studio with the details of a local event you can get involved with.
The Healthy Start Coalition of Bay, Franklin and Gulf Counties, Inc. will be hosting a ceremonial walk and celebration next Saturday, September 28 at Oaks By The Bay in St. Andrews from 9 a.m to noon. They will have resources available for families experiencing a loss, a remembrance ceremony, a bubble release and more.
Executive director Sharon Owens says it is important for families to know that they are not alone.
The event is free to attend. Walk t-shirts and bracelets will be sold and there will be a silent auction and raffle prizes. All proceeds benefit the "Last Rights for Little Ones" program.
