The Walton County Animal Shelter announced they will reopen their lobby starting Tuesday, June 9.
Only two people will be allowed in the lobby at one time and hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the shelter.
There will also be stickers on the floor of the lobby to allow for social distancing.
Shelter officials say the lobby will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at the beginning and end of each business day and throughout the day as visitors enter and exit the building.
Disposable masks will be provided for anyone wishing to wear one during the visit..
Walton County Animal Services still encourages people to continue to ask for an animal control officer to pick up stray, lost animals, and pets being surrendered to the shelter. To request an animal control office you can call 850-892-8682.
