Walton County boy calls 911 to ask deputies to Thanksgiving dinner

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A Walton County boy called 911 to invite deputies to eat with him on Thanksgiving.

Billy called the Walton County Sheriff's Office Thursday afternoon to tell staff and deputies they could come eat dinner with him and his family.

Two deputies, Damon Byrd and Aaron Ethridge, stopped by to visit Billy, gave him a sheriff's badge and even let him sit in their patrol cars.

The sheriff's office says while you should never call 911 unless there's an emergency, they were honored to get the invitation.
