Emergency officials were there to train for how to respond in the event of a hurricane. They say their main focus was identifying what improvements need to be made.
Officials say some of the most important things addressed in the meeting were communications, coordination, and cooperation.
"I work for Emergency Management, Major Rowell works for the Sheriff's Office, but when our agencies are all under one roof in the EOC, as an activated body, we're a response team, we're a team," said Jeff Goldberg, director of Emergency Management.
Officials say they hold these training exercises one or two times a year, and they conduct smaller-scale exercises throughout the year.
