WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - In this day and age, living without the internet isn't an option.

Tuesday, Walton County commissioners approved to move forward to seek a group for a feasibility study on broadband access in the county.

District 4 Commissioner Sara Comander expressed the desperate need throughout Walton County to bring full access to the everyone in the area.

"We have people who could access better health care if they had the internet. We have children that could study from home in they had access to the internet," Comander said.

Comander also acknowledged that the board has accomplished a lot in the last few broadband meetings and said the school system is a major contributor in helping advance broadband to most county facilities.
