Good Wednesday morning everyone!

It's an active morning in the Southeast on radar with a band of heavier showers to our north across MS, AL, and GA. However, only a few light showers or areas of drizzle are making there way into the Panhandle this morning. We'll keep a hardly umbrella worthy shower chance this morning. However, a few scattered showers in the afternoon may be worthy, but they'll be largely hit or miss and short lived if you do happen to catch one later today.

Otherwise, fog is another issue this morning with a Dense Fog Advisory in effect for the coast until 9am CST. But the fog is lifting out fairly quickly for most, Bay and Gulf Counties may be the only patchy dense spots.

Temperatures are mild and muggy in the 60s once again, very similar to what we had out the door yesterday. We were able to lift out the fog and break up the clouds some yesterday to help reach the 70s for afternoon highs, and I think today will shape up fairly similarly.

As the cold front slides deeper into the Southeast this afternoon and evening we'll see a small chance for a few scattered showers. But as mentioned before they'll be largely hit or miss. Still the best rain chance appears to be as the front moves through tomorrow, and mainly for the afternoon and evening.

Temperatures tumble behind tomorrow's frontal passage as highs dip down into the mid 60s Thursday afternoon. They'll get much colder by Friday with 30s inland and 40s on the coast in the morning, highs in the afternoon struggle to get out of the 50s. We'll see a similar chill heading into the first half of the weekend. But the good news is we'll be able to clear out our skies through Friday and see plenty of sunshine into the weekend.

Bottom Line...

For today, mainly cloudy skies after the morning fog with areas of drizzle in the morning or a scattered shower possible in the afternoon. Highs today reach the low 70s on the coast to mid 70s inland. Your 7 Day Forecast brings in the likely rain chances into tomorrow afternoon as the cold front moves through and brings in a chill for the end of the week.
