Good Wednesday morning everyone!
It's a foggy start over the Panhandle this morning. Thick fog will be an issue for the morning drive through 9am. After that we'll see a few more of the spotty showers developing like what we had yesterday. Eventually they'll consolidate into larger showers and some embedded thunderstorms in the afternoon hours.
Temperatures otherwise are warm and feeling very humid again today with most starting out the morning commute around 70°. Highs today will be subdued due to the clouds and rain with most in the upper 70s this afternoon.
The cold front that moved into the Southeast yesterday has now stalled out over the Panhandle and South Alabama. This will focus lift in our atmosphere keeping our skies on the cloudy side and also developing more of the rainy conditions.
This setup will remain intact through tonight and into tomorrow before some drier air aloft moves in late Thursday into Friday morning. Rain chances will briefly drop during this period before a larger cold front returns rain chances later in the day on Friday and into Friday night. That will also bring much cooler conditions on into the upcoming weekend.
Weekend highs will be firmly into the 60s in the afternoons, with chillier 50s to start on Saturday morning, and even 40s possible Sunday morning. Unfortunately, we'll likely see more cloud cover than sunshine through the weekend. Rain chances return as soon as Monday.
For today, cloudy skies with showers and some thunderstorms. Highs today will reach the upper 70s near 80°. Your 7 Day Forecast will keep us unsettled through the next several days before we remove rain chances for the weekend, but likely keep mostly cloudy skies.
