Good Wednesday morning everyone!
It's a quiet start on radar this morning with clear skies overhead. We'll stay clear once again today leading toward another abundantly sunny day.
Temperatures are downright cold this morning with the coast near 40, and inland areas in the 30s with some patchy frost possible. Be sure to bundle up as winds are adding to the chill this morning as it'll feel more like it's freezing outside early on or below! We won't warm up too fast either, so make sure you're dressed warmly heading out the door today. Highs today under the blue skies and sunshine only reach the mid 50s! Average highs this time of year are in the mid to upper 60s.
We're still able to pump in the colder air thanks to the northerly winds around an area of high pressure slowly moving in from the west. This cold air advection will lead toward temperatures getting even colder tonight with a possibility of seeing freezing temperatures near the coast by tomorrow morning. Frosty conditions will be likely for a lot of folks heading out early enough tomorrow morning and it could even require a bit of elbow grease to get off the windshields inland as opposed to a lighter frost on the coast.
We'll have another seasonally chilly day with sunshine setting up for tomorrow as the area of high pressure continues to keep our skies relatively featureless. As the high slides into the Southeast by Friday our next storm system will be setting up across the Plains and on approach for Saturday. Timing with this next storm system over the weekend will change a little bit over the next several days. But at this point it appears likely that we'll see some scattered showers throughout the day with storms possible in the evening and overnight into Sunday morning.
For today, abundant sunshine with chilly temperatures in the 50s this afternoon. Your 7 Day Forecast will have another seasonally cold one for tomorrow with freezing conditions likely in the morning and highs only returning to the mid 50s under the sun.
