Good Wednesday morning everyone!
It's a quiet start on radar despite some cloud cover still cruising our skies early on this morning. The clouds quickly peel away to the east as the morning unfolds.
Breezy northerly winds have taken over this morning and they're chilly winds! Temperatures are dropping into the 40s just about Panhandle-wide and when you factor in the winds it's going to feel actually like the upper 30s inland to lower 40s on the coast. Bundle up out the door this morning! Especially since we've had some mild days over the past couple weeks, this morning's 40s just have that extra chilly feel.
Once the clouds peel away later this morning and we open up our afternoon to sunshine, we'll see temperatures climb up into the seasonal low to mid 60s. This is February after all! But the winds will come down a bit later today and under the sunshine those 60s will feel pleasant, just keep your jacket handy.
Unfortunately this little chilly snap has a little more depth to it heading into tonight...Winds will subside and skies will be clear early on allowing for temperatures to really drop fast after sunset. It's likely we'll wind up colder tomorrow morning with the coast in the low 40s and some mid 30s possible inland to start our Thursday!
However, that's the bottom of the barrel when it comes to our latest cold snap. We'll quickly rebound temperatures throughout the day tomorrow and see highs push back up into the upper 60s near 70 degrees for some by Thursday afternoon.
For today, mostly cloudy skies in the morning give way to abundant sunshine in the afternoon. Highs today reach the low to mid 60s. Your 7 Day Forecast has another cold start to our Thursday morning before we start a nice warm up into the end of the week.
