Wednesday Forecast

Good Wednesday morning everyone!

It's a quiet start on radar despite a few upper level wispy clouds passing through. We'll manage a beautiful sunrise this morning. However, we could see a few more clouds increase in our skies as the day unfolds due to a cluster of showers and thunderstorms weakening to our southwest in the Gulf.

Otherwise, your out the door temperatures are much more mild this morning as many are waking up in the mid to upper 60s. We'll warm fast again this morning, so go ahead and leave the jackets but grab the shades! Mainly sunny skies this morning will lead toward temperatures warming into the mid 80s by lunchtime today. Highs will top out again in the low to mid 80s as a southerly wind picks up this afternoon on the coast limiting our daytime heating as the Gulf waters are cooler in the mid 70s. Inland highs have another shot at reaching 90 degrees today, however, the increasing clouds may filter out just enough sunshine to limit most areas from reaching the low 90s. Either way, it's going to be a hot one!

So if you're heading to the President Trump speaking event today, you'll want to make sure you bring plenty of sunscreen and water. I don't think we'll have much of any rain concern today on the coast as the cluster of showers and storms in the Gulf should weaken as the day unfolds. It is slightly possible a stray sprinkle or light shower may hold together long enough to reach the coast this evening. But that's not looking likely. A few small spotty showers may develop away from the coast this afternoon as enough moisture will return today along the southerly breeze.

Bottom Line...
For today, mostly sunny skies with hot temperatures reaching the low to mid 80s on the coast to upper 80s near 90 degrees inland. A few small stray showers are possible inland in the afternoon, and a light shower may move onto the coast late in the day. Your 7 Day Forecast features more warm days ahead with small spotty chances for afternoon or evening showers.
