Wednesday Forecast

Good Wednesday morning everyone!

It's another mainly quiet start over our skies in the Panhandle with just a few stray showers out in the Gulf and not likely to move on shore.

Temperatures are once again pleasantly warm with most waking up near 70 degrees. It's still above average but not a bad start out the door this morning. Mainly sunny skies with warm up our temperatures once again to near 90 degrees this afternoon. Some lower 90s inland are possible.

Yesterday's cold front is now well south across Central Florida, however, it's parent trough is still located in the mid levels of the atmosphere over the Southeast. That may help get a little lift going into the afternoon where a few fair weather clouds could spring a leak or two. Plenty of dry air still exists aloft so it's going to be tough to overcome that to create a shower or two this afternoon. We'll only give it a 10% chance you catch one today.

Otherwise, pretty quiet weather sets up for the rest of the work week as we await another frontal boundaries arrival into the Southeast by the end of the week. It may help to stir up a few stray, scattered, showers or thunderstorms over the weekend. But unfortunately it appears as though it may stall out before passing through... Those slightly dropping temperatures we were looking at showing up by the end of the weekend and into next week are appearing to be in jeopardy now.

If the front does stall to our northwest, we'll continue the status quo of upper 80s to near 90 degree highs this weekend. On the positive side, it may help to keep a few stray afternoon shower chances around heading into early next week. However, no drought busting rain totals are expected with maybe a few tenths all we'll be able to muster.

Bottom Line...
For today, mainly to mostly sunny skies with warm highs reaching near 90 degrees on the coast to the low 90s inland. There's a 10% chance a stray isolated shower or two flares up this afternoon, very small and brief if it does happen. Your 7 Day Forecast keep us running above average with quiet weather through the rest of the work week.
