Wednesday Forecast

Good Wednesday morning everyone!

Meteorologist Ryan Michaels says this afternoon will be warmer than yesterday.

It's a quiet start on satellite and radar once again this morning with clear skies overhead and only a few wispy upper level clouds expected to pass through our skies today.

Temperatures are chilly once again, but not as cold as yesterday morning. Many on the coast are waking up closer to 40° with some mid 30s further inland. Frost was still a bit of a concern for early morning commuters, however, it's not likely to be as much of an issue tomorrow. You'll still need to dress warmly out the door for the morning commute. However, we will see temperatures warming up quicker and a bit more efficiently today reaching the mid 50s by the end of the morning. Afternoon highs today reach the mid 60s, and many of you may be able to get away with just some light sleeves under the sunshine.

The upper level trough is moving out to the northeast and taking the colder weather with it as weak ridging builds in from the southeast. That helps to bring a warm up for our area over the next several days. We'll go from highs in the mid 60s today, to near 70 degrees for the end of the work week and into the weekend. Average highs for this time of year are in the upper 60s so we'll be right around our seasonal average for the next several days in the afternoons after today.

Unfortunately we cannot keep our sunny streak going. Clouds will gradually go on the increase through the day tomorrow, still a mainly sunny day over all. But by Friday mostly cloudy skies will be expected with a chance for a late day shower. We'll keep a small rain chance teasing us through the weekend as well.

Bottom Line...
For today, abundant sunshine with a seasonally cool feel in the afternoon as highs reach the mid 60s. Your 7 Day Forecast has a warm up in store for the rest of the week as temperatures return to seasonal average highs near 70°.
