West Florida Electric Cooperative reimbursed $1.2 million for hurricane costs

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - FEMA is reimbursing a local electric cooperative after Hurricane Michael.

FEMA approved $1,204,944 to the state of Florida to help West Florida Electric Cooperative Association with management costs following Hurricane Michael. The grant is part of FEMA's Public Assistance Program.

FEMA's Public Assistance Program is a grant program for communities recovering from a federally declared disaster or emergency.
